Originally known as Bill’s Repair Shop, Bill’s Sewing Machine Company was founded in 1963 by Bill Cook as a small appliance and domestic sewing machine repair service.
From these humble beginnings, Bill’s Sewing Machine Company has moved to the forefront of the sewing industry. With fifteen full-time employees and six part-timers, Bill’s conducts business both inside and outside the shop, selling cutting and sewing equipment, parts, and accessories, as well as performing technical maintenance on industrial sewing machines for a variety of companies around the world and in our complete machine shop right here in Hildebran. Remaining true to our roots, Bill’s also maintains the sale, service, and parts selection for domestic sewing machines.
The Home Department at Bill’s Sewing Machine Company is a certified Janome Dealer, and has carried fabric and sewing notions since 2008.
In September 1992, Bill’s Sewing Machine Company purchased and absorbed APEX, a company which manufactures specialty sewing machines for the furniture industry.
The newest addition to our products and services catalog is our ability to extend sewing machine heads in order to provide a larger sewing area to meet the needs of sewers working with canvas, automotives, mattresses, furniture, etc.
Versatility and adaptability are just two of the reasons Bill’s has thrived in the sewing industry over the past 60+ years. Sewing equipment is a necessity for day-to-day work across many industries, including mattress, drapery, automotive, orthopedics, and military. It is our goal to meet the sewing needs of as many industries and individuals as possible.
While every employee at Bill’s is treated like family, we are proud and blessed to employ several actual family members, and we strive to make everyone who walks through our doors feel as welcome and at home as we do.
